O.D. Kids was founded in June 2011. The O.D. Kids formed in their local dive bar, Café the Minds, in the centre of Amsterdam.
The idea was to start a hardcore band just for the fun of it, nothing too serious. After a few practice sessions though it became clear there was something more going on then a few friends having a jam.
After 3 months, with lots of practice, the band was able to play 10 songs, enough for a first gig. September 15, 2011 at Maloe Melo, the O.D. Kids presented themselves to the world.
Uncomprimising hardcore punk and an in-your-face attitude, mixed with an energetic attitude, made the band stand out. Their reputation preceded them immediately, and more shows followed quickly.
Since they had enough songs to fill an album, the went into the recording studio in october 2011, to record on 2" 24 track tape @ solid ground studio's, resulting in their first album "one more"
In the beginning, the Kids comprised of Bob on vocals, Joeri and Victor on guitar, Lara on bass, and Niels on drums.
After a couple of shows Dennis (vocals) agreed to sing just one song as a guest vocalist, but the combination with Bob
was so strong that Dennis became a permanent member of the group.
When Lara stopped in september of 2012, Gwynn became the new bassplayer.
As the bassplayer for the legendary NRA, he helped the band move forwards in many ways, one of them resulting in a split 12" vinyl with the Fatwa's.
Now Gwynn has left the building... after an explosive last gig at Villa Friekens in october 2013, we found a new bassplayer in José, and this is the current line-up.

The O.D. Kids Sound:
The tight and loud drumming of Niels and the steady fingers of José provide a solid foundation. The guitar work of Victor and Joeri ensure that the plaster on the wall falls off, and then the hyper-dynamic duo of Bob and Dennis finish you off. With influences from old punk and early eighties hardcore, but also Motörhead, the harder kind stoner-rock, Glam and bands like GG Alin and Out Cold, the music is varied, but always sounds like O.D. Kids.
